You are bidding on one (1) off, lightly run, LGB #4165 Circus Caboose with additional electronic wizardary. The caboose was made in Western Germany (circa- 1990) and presents in a lightly run condition (evidence of wheel tread marking on the quality metal wheelset). If you look closely at the sides of the caboose there are a series of alternating green/red leds. When power is applied to the track, the lights appear to 'chase' each other around the car (on both sides of the car). A switch underneath has two positions which sets the lights at either fast or slower. The spotlamp is still to be fitted and is included in a sealed plastic packaging.
The conversion is obviously professionally done, but I have no idea of the manufacturer name. This was obviously a very expensive car when released. I have never seen another or even heard of this conversion, prior to receiving this car. A rechargable 9 volt battery is installed but I believe the battery must charge up when in use. The only instructions inside the car state that a ni-cad rechargable battery only should be fitted. This is truly a unique car and is a delight to see when running on a train. It has a real carnival atmosphere to it.
